From T. Nyqvist, who also founded No Fashion Records and Iron Fist Productions. Excellent, notably there are no reviews (see editorial), however this issue is FULL of many groundbreaking acts in their prime. With interviews and more, including Agressor, At the Gates, Baphomet, Marduk, Bolt Thrower, Carbonized, Dark Tranquillity, Death Courier, Demigod, Dissection, Repugnance, Immortal, Impaler (UK), Infamy (FL), Infested Incarnation, Interment (FIN), Malaphar, Macabre End (God Macabre), Merciless, Misery (SWZ), Sadist, Sadus, Salem, Samael, Sentenced,  Shub-Niggurath, Therion, Atomic Aggressor, Unleashed, Traumatic, Torturer, Obscure, Osmose Productions, plus zine reviews. Like last week, apologies, I don’t have the original scanner’s info, but many thanks from us all for this offering. PDF is up in the D/L’s section.

SOD – Sounds of Death (Missouri, USA) #3, Summer 1993

SOD – Sounds of Death (Missouri, USA) #3, Summer 1993. Editor: “David Horn”

Like the issue #2 which I posted up a while back (see archives to the right), this is again sort of ‘in between’ a zine and magazine. David Horn’s eventually long-running Sounds Of Death still remained ambitious, and this time around it is packed with original art contributions from Cannibal Corpse cover artist Vincent Locke. Featuring pro-print, color cover, while keeping the underground feel, this issue also has an interview with Locke, along with Brujeria, Dismember, Cancer (nice tour story from their US tour with Deicide and Demolition Hammer), Venom (with trash talk on good old Raven), Kataklysm, Morbid Angel, and Vader. Lastly, TONS of cool record label ads.

Hypnosis #5 (Germany) 1997 (auf Deutsch)

Hypnosis #5 (Germany) 1997, Editors: “Michael” and “Sven”

I am not sure where I got this zine, perhaps on tour in Europe or traveling, perhaps in the mail. I think it was the last from these guys, and this German-language, digest-sized zine was laid out exceptionally well – great type, great organization, everything. So for those who can sprechen zee Deutsch, there is some fun content including interviews with Entombed, Broken Hope, Deeds of Flesh, Cryptopsy, Necrophobic, Frozen Sun, Obituary, Apophis, and a Scene report from Poland. Enjoy.
