Norwegian zine from Evil Ed, published by Red Stream. Contains a number of interesting interviews from (what was) an kind of transitional time in the underground (circa 2000/2001), with first era-ending (the first time around) chats with Anglecorpse and Asphyx, as well as interviews with Darkthrone, Diabolic, Decayed, Holocausto Canibal, Immolation, Macabre, Machetazo, Morbid Angel, Necrophagia, Nifelheim, Rebaelliun, Vomitory, demo reviews, a feature on Jeffrey Dahmer, and more. Well-designed zine out of Scotland from the early 90’s featuring a very diverse lineup of interviews, cool reviews, Norwegian scene report and more, featuring Crucifier, Edge of Sanity, Embalmed, Furbowl, Sentenced, Gorefest, Imprecation, Malediction, Depravity, Nocturnal Rites, Vital Remains, House of Usher, Thus Defiled, Vomitory etc.

I was feeling a bit nice this evening after having downed a few Imperial Stouts, so after looking through this long forgotten gem, I was stunned to find a plethora (or should I say inordinate amount) of amazing demo reviews. This issue is simply stacked with page after page of what amounts to a “who’s who” of second generation underground death, black, doom and more. This issue is quite a fun read, just leaf through the reviews and it’s a trip down memory lane, not just for the bands that got ‘big’ after this era, but for the bands that did not. Lots of lost demo glory here. On top of that, there are interviews with Paradise Lost, Liers in Wait, Evocation, Demilich, Throne of Ahaz, Amorphis, Vomitory, God Forsaken, Pitch Shifter, My Dying Bride, Katatonia, and more. Great layout, fantastic original art, and killer vibe.
