Heavy Metal Demons #9 (Netherlands – Dutch) 1984
Heavy Metal Demons #9 (Netherlands-Dutch) 1984. Editors:”Ferry Bovet,” “Peter Loch” and “Paul Schrijver”
Dutch metal zine from mid-80s that mixed local and international acts, capturing heavy metal at the point where it was (perhaps already?) about to go full mainstream. Put together with obvious dedication by these three gentleman (and if anyone has an original copy, I bet it smells like a ripe Dutch oven about right now). Contains both live and album reviews, features (including clippings from the ‘Say You Love Satan’ murder on Long island), imagery (esp. a lot of cool promo photos I have not seen elsewhere), and more w/ Dio, Motorhead, Ratt, Rajas, Lee Aaron, Hammerhead, Lipstick, Rottweiler, Judas Priest, Lizzy Borden, Hirax, Cirith Ungol, Judas Priest, Trouble, Twisted Sister, Blaspheme, WASP, Witch Slayer and more…
